PlayZone HD Model PZ-HDMI provides ability to input, display and capture HDMI up to 1920 x 1080p via USB 2.0 interface. The driver free PZ-HDMI Input module is detected as a standard webcam device by most operating systems, allowing it to be used by applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Twitch TV and more as a HDTV camera, 2 channel embedded audio is available as the microphone audio source when used with 3rd party applications.
PZ-HDX3 is cost effective and compact, with Plug and Play functionality the capture module is compatible with Windows, Linux, macOS X, Raspbian (Raspberry Pi) & certain Android based phones/tablets. PZ-HDX3 is compatible with a broad range of creative applications from video conferencing to social media live streaming, the capture module is also well suited for developers looking to work with HD 1080p 60 video within their custom applications.
The tiny PZ-HDX3, provides for 1080p & 720p outputs which is ideal for connection with USB 2.0 /3.0 computers. PZ-HDX3 is USB port powered, allowing its use on location or in studio.
PZ-HDX3 is able to accept HDMI video input with a resolution of up to 1080p 60, the video output from the PZ-HDX3 is auto scaled to 1080p or 720p (USB 2.0), with 2 channel stereo audio @ 48kHz PCM. Auto detection of input resolution and standardized output of 1080p 60/720p ensures captures and live streams are delivered at the highest quality.
Raspberry Pi HDMI Input
PZ-HDX3 can be used with the Raspberry Pi computer to capture video & audio via the Pi's USB port, the Pi's built in V4L2/UVC driver sees the PZ-HDX3 as a Dev0 device. A RPi approved powered (at leat 2Amp) USB hub must be used with the PZ-HDX3, the RPi is not able to provide the required power directly from its USB 2.0 Port.
