The driver free PZ-HDSDI Input module is detected as a standard webcam device by most operating systems, allowing it to be used by applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Twitch TV and more as a HDTV camera, 2 channel embedded audio is available as the microphone audio source when used with 3rd party applications.
Playzone HD PZ-HDSDI is a compact device that enables SDI video up to 1080p to be displayed and captured via USB 2.0 interface. PZ-HDSDI can be used to monitor HDMI signals on a tablet or PC which is ideal for any video engineers toolkit, simply connect the device to any USB port and open VLC or any other application to display the SD or HD HD-SDI input and audio on channels 1 and 2. Ideal for use with 3rd party applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts and more to feed SDI video as a camera source. The PZ-HDSDI is powered by the USB slot and does not require any external power, signal LED indicators provide quick visual check of signal input, the device auto detects incoming video format and does not require any additional drivers to be installed
PZ-HDSDI provides an easy solution for many applications where live SD/HD SDI video input with audio is required. The PZ-HDSDI clever design enables the device to be seen as a standard USB web camera by many applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts and others, since the PZ-HDSDI is detected as a standard web cam device there are no additional drivers or software that needs to be installed, allowing an easy method to feed broadcast video into applications.
Rugged and Reliable
The PZ-HDSDI can accept a video input up to 1080p/60 and provides a mjpeg output at 1280x720p/30 or YUV/10 along with 44.1 kHz 2 channel stereo audio mic output.
Raspberry Pi HDSDI Input
PZ-HDSDI can be used with the Raspberry Pi computer to capture video and audio via the Pi's USB port, the device can be used with the V4L/UVC driver and is seen as Dev0.
